Pip hunter testing observation.
« on: February 28, 2010, 08:27:48 am »
After testing Piphunter EA i think that method is pretty good.   I like slower long term trading.  What i noticed is that most of the entries were good and usually trades would go into profit.   However many of the quite positive trades ended up in loss without being closed.   I could have closed some of those trades manually and results would have been little better perhaps, but since it was just a test i let it run without intervention.   I think results could be greatly improved with some approach to prevent winners from turning into losers.  Not sure if this could be done with some kind of a filter to close trades when it gives signal or maybe some type of trailing stop.

Are people still using this method? I guess a little bit of micro management isn't that bad.
